About the Opportunity

Value Driven Solutions (VDS) is seeking a highly experienced Senior Lean Six Sigma Consultant to join one of our premier consulting firm partners on a contract basis. This remote position will support manufacturing clients by driving operational excellence, process optimization, and sustainable performance improvements through Lean Six Sigma methodologies. As a key contributor, you will deliver measurable results, enhance client profitability, and strengthen operational efficiency in dynamic manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Improvement Leadership: Lead Lean Six Sigma projects to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and optimize manufacturing processes, delivering measurable cost savings and performance gains.

  • Project Management: Plan, execute, and manage complex process improvement initiatives, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget while meeting client expectations.

  • Data-Driven Analysis: Utilize advanced statistical tools and Lean Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, DFSS) to analyze processes, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.

  • Client Collaboration: Partner with client leadership and cross-functional teams to align improvement initiatives with business objectives, fostering buy-in and driving change.

  • Training & Coaching: Develop and deliver Lean Six Sigma training programs, mentoring client teams to build internal capability and sustain improvements.

  • Change Management: Facilitate organizational change by implementing strategies to overcome resistance, engage stakeholders, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish and track KPIs to monitor project outcomes, ensuring sustained improvements in quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.

  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present detailed reports, dashboards, and recommendations to clients and VDS leadership, highlighting project impact and ROI.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in Lean Six Sigma consulting, with a focus on manufacturing environments. Proven track record of leading successful process improvement projects with measurable outcomes.

  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification required (e.g., ASQ, IASSC, or equivalent).

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.

  • Skills:

    • Expertise in Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, SPC).

    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, or similar).

    • Exceptional project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.

    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to influence at all organizational levels.

    • Proficiency in remote collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, project management software).
