Position Summary
The IT Generalist is the hands-on, front-line technology resource for the Company’s facility. Reporting to the IT Systems Manager, this role provides desktop and end-user support, maintains hardware and accounts, and assists with networking, systems, and cybersecurity tasks in an ITAR-controlled aerospace manufacturing environment. It is an excellent opportunity for a versatile IT professional who enjoys solving a wide range of problems and growing with a fast-scaling aerospace and defense company.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-level support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, AV, and software.
- Image, deploy, and maintain end-user hardware; manage user onboarding and offboarding.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and email within Active Directory / Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, basic server, and peripheral issues; escalate as needed.
- Support cybersecurity hygiene—patching, endpoint protection, MFA, and access controls—per NIST 800-171 / CMMC practices.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, documentation, and the support ticket queue.
- Assist with conference-room, shop-floor, and lab technology setups.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in IT.
- 2+ years of help-desk or desktop-support experience.
- Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, and basic networking.
- Strong customer-service orientation and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work on-site and lift / move standard IT equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification.
- Experience in a manufacturing or regulated (ITAR/defense) environment.
- Exposure to cybersecurity compliance practices.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range of $65,000 – $90,000, commensurate with experience, plus medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), and paid time off. Actual compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
Work Authorization & Eligibility
This position supports ITAR- and EAR-controlled programs. Applicants must be a “U.S. Person” as defined under 22 CFR §120.62 (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual). The facility is access-controlled and the role is subject to a background check and, for certain programs, eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance.
