Value Driven Solutions (VDS) (https://vdsconsultinggroup.com/) is actively recruiting seasoned Logistics, Supply Chain, and Procurement Professionals with specialized expertise in Customs Compliance, Tariffs, and Duties to support our middle market clients and partners across North America in 2025 and beyond. We’re seeking candidates with at least 10 years of direct experience in senior-level roles such as Logistics Manager, Supply Chain Director, Procurement Manager, or similar leadership positions to join our network of experts for contract and contract-to-hire opportunities.

What You’d Do

Every VDS client engagement is unique, but you’ll leverage your expertise to deliver results in roles such as:

  • Interim Leadership: Step into operational roles like Interim Supply Chain Director, Logistics Program Manager, or Procurement Lead to stabilize, optimize, or transform client operations.
  • Strategic Consulting: Facilitate executive workshops, provide C-level coaching, or lead large-scale logistics, procurement, and supply chain transformation projects for medium-to-large enterprises.
  • Specialized Expertise: Apply your customs compliance, tariff, and duty knowledge to ensure regulatory alignment, mitigate risks, and enhance cost efficiency in global supply chains.

Assignments could range from streamlining a food manufacturer’s import/export processes to overhauling a retailer’s sourcing strategy—each role tailored to the client’s immediate needs and long-term goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • 10+ years in progressively responsible roles in Logistics, Procurement, Supplier Development, or Materials Management (e.g., Logistics Manager, Supply Chain Director, Purchasing Manager, Global Commodity Manager).
    • 5+ years of direct experience in Customs Compliance, Tariffs, and Duties, with a proven ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
  • Core Expertise: Strong skills in at least two of the following:
    • Optimizing logistics operations (e.g., warehouse efficiency, inventory management).
    • Analyzing and enhancing transportation operations.
    • Logistics Compliance (Tax, Import/Export regulations).
    • ERP Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Supply Chain Planning tools.
    • Supplier Performance Management Systems.
    • Supply Chain/Procurement Risk Management.
    • End-to-End Supply Chain Governance.
    • Senior-level Sourcing and Procurement.
    • Procurement Category Management.
    • Commodity and Indirect Spend Management.
  • Education: Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Track Record: Demonstrated success in logistics, supply chain, and procurement initiatives, supported by referenced case studies or client testimonials.
  • Certifications: Trained and/or certified in one or more of the following:
    • ISM, NAPM, Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), CPM, Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM).
    • Other recognized certifications in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Procurement, or Logistics/Warehouse Management.
