Senior Lean Practitioner – Manufacturing Focus (Mexico-based) We are seeking an experienced, Mexico-based Senior Lean Practitioner for a 6-12 month contract engagement. This senior-level role requires deep manufacturing credibility and the ability to operate independently while driving significant operational improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end lean transformations in manufacturing environments, applying advanced lean principles to eliminate waste, improve flow, and enhance overall performance.
- Independently diagnosing complex production processes, conducting value stream mapping, implementing standard work, and deploying continuous improvement initiatives.
- Providing expert guidance on quality systems integration and standard work deployment to achieve sustainable gains in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
- Facilitating Kaizen events, problem-solving sessions, and cross-functional teams with minimal oversight.
- Delivering measurable results through data-driven analysis and hands-on coaching of site leadership and frontline teams.
Ideal candidate profile:
- Proven track record of strong manufacturing credibility, with substantial hands-on experience in high-volume or complex production settings.
- Advanced expertise in lean tools and methodologies (e.g., value stream mapping, 5S, TPM, SMED, visual management, and standardized work).
- Experience in quality management systems and effective standard work rollout is highly preferred.
- Self-starter capable of autonomous project leadership and stakeholder management across all levels.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is essential for effective collaboration in Mexico-based operations.
This is a contract position (6-12 months) offering the opportunity to make immediate, high-impact contributions in a dynamic manufacturing context.
