Director, Advanced Capability Development — Fighter Aircraft

Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, TX (on-site)

Our client is seeking a director to lead advanced capability development for a flagship fighter aircraft program. You will set the roadmap for next-generation upgrades and carry them from concept through customer approval and funding.

What you'll do

  • Own the capability development roadmap and align it with customer requirements and budgets
  • Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, program management, finance and business development
  • Shape and win new development contracts and modernization efforts
  • Brief senior executives and government customers on progress, risk and investment priorities
  • Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field; advanced degree preferred
  • 15+ years in aerospace and defense, including 8+ years leading programs or technical organizations
  • Track record growing a development portfolio with government customers
  • Active security clearance strongly preferred
