Job Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned professional to implement lean construction tools and best practices across nuclear projects. Reporting to project leadership, you will oversee continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, manage CI teams, and facilitate stakeholder collaboration to achieve predictable, excellent results. This remote role demands a strategic thinker with extensive lean construction experience and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement core CI program elements, including Conditions of Satisfaction, Last Planner System, standardization of best practices, and problem-solving tools (kaizen, value stream mapping, A3, etc.).
  • Lead lean assessment tools and deliver CI/Lean training across projects.
  • Oversee construction collaboration tools such as Big Room, visual management, 5S, leader standard work, and effective huddles/meetings.
  • Drive waste reduction efforts, managing data and implementation programs.
  • Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for CI on assigned projects, managing schedules, action tracking, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Prepare communications, presentations, and training materials for CI initiatives.
  • Analyze and evaluate improvement proposals from waste walks, KPI trends, and field observations.
  • Coordinate activities across projects and liaise with operations, training, and HR teams.
  • Operate within an assigned budget, handling procurement and supervision of CI team members.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Business Administration, Technical College Diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt certification from an accredited institution (required); Lean Black Belt certification is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 15+ years in lean construction, with proven application of lean tools in a construction/project delivery environment.
    • 7-10 years of collective experience in project execution and coordination.
    • Direct experience with project management/coordination is an asset.
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of construction elements (technology, equipment, methods, trade agreements, engineering, cost control, scheduling, safety).
    • Strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.
    • High proficiency in standard computer programs (Power BI is an asset).
    • Ability to prepare and deliver project reports and presentations.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Flexibility to work across various U.S. locations remotely, with occasional travel for project needs.
    • Regular, reliable attendance and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Commitment to safety and effective teamwork.
